[IV.] Observation on Teacher
4.1 Planning for teaching
As I observe my cooperative teacher in the two class of 7th grade students, she was planning to teaching a long day before the class get started. She follow the national curriculum and school curriculum as well. She also implied the mission of the school (resilience) in the part of teaching plan. She also used the weekly format for the lesson planning since it more flexible.
4.2 Preparing lesson and material
When preparing the lesson and material, as I observe, she adjust the material by the class condition a day before it start. She will take a quick review and observation in the orientation day or the first day. After that, she will set the arrangement for the activity.
4.3 Teaching in the class
As I mentioned before, my cooperative teacher started the first day with orientation day. In this orientation day, she will explain the objective of the lesson, what will they expect in the end of the lesson, and the contract of their dealing for the class situation, or another agreement to set up the class in the future if there any certain conditions. The next day, she will start the material with the learning activity as the introduction before directly to the material, she will arrange the activity in the fun way. And then she will started the discussion in the next meeting, and continue by deepening, and the last is reflection.
4.4 Measurement and evaluation
The part of reflection is the evaluation that my cooperative teacher used for review the unit of the material in the end of the all discussion. Mostly, she using quiz as the evaluation in the paper, and she will make a time limit for students answer the question. The quiz material was taken from the subject unit that they already learn in the few previous meeting.
